One of the enemies who hadn't moved yet flanked her and killed her. One of the enemies runs right into my reaper, who is revealed. Worse, EVERY enemy turns from the combat they are engaged in and runs straight at the codex discovered ranger. There was no reason for the codex to teleport there. First, codex teleports right near my reaper, which gives him los to a 2nd ranger even farther away than the reaper or stealthed ranger, about twice as far as the high threat soldiers. The enemy was assaulting our high ground, lots of targets for them, high threat, I had hit them several times, I had a stealthed reaper and ranger almost against the side of the map, with the ranger more than a full run away from the enemy. I should be able to finish it in 40-50 mins I figure, depending on caution and hack success. I've been pulled away from the keyboard a few times so I haven't been at the mission full time. So far I haven't had to reload, although losing my 2nd sharpshooter really slowed me down a lot. That's not gonna happen again if I can help it) and then start killing pods. He stasis'd a heavy mec I hacked and it lost the hack status. I'm probably gonna cheese a few key enemies (the priest, for sure. They seem to be looking for me but I'm so far away now that they are basically running in circles. I can still see another 15 or so, some of which have activated but then lost sight of all my guys. Cheesing the big gun with stealthed dudes and my lone surviving sharpshooter slowed down the countdown to death, and killing 3 of 4 of the little guns has made it so that I just need to clean up the enemy units. I was able to get it under control however, and I've killed over 20 guys now, plus a couple of heavy mec hacks. That made half my guys go nuts because they were so tired. sharpshooter was standing behind and I lost her on turn 3. Chrysalids made a mad dash for my formation and I had to prioritize them when I didn't want to. I panicked when I saw how many dudes were visible and started hucking explosives all over the place. Right now Psi is kind of just tacked on and not really much of a part of the game until, suddenly, it is.ĭoes anyone here have any XCOM modding experience? Plus, I think it would also help get some Psi troops into the field before the end game. Otherwise, as you say, you'd always send your dimmest troops to the Psi lab. This way there would be some benefit to your troop's intelligence in Psi school which I think makes sense and removes the inconsistency that Firaxis created here. This would stack with the scientist deduction if you have one staffed in the lab.Ībove Average - 5% training time reduction What I'd like to do is create a small mod to the Psi Lab that reduces training time for a Psi troop by an additional 5% for every intelligence level they are above above standard intelligence. I put my only rookie genius in there figuring it would work like the rest of the game does. Word on the street is to put standard combat intelligence dudes into Psi-training, as they have few AP to spend anyway, and psi-operatives don't use AP. Psilab is finally up, but I had to actually spend cash to recruit a rookie to put in it, since I had trained everyone to at least squaddie in the GTS. I've put off going after the Assassin, or even discovering her hideout yet, so I need to get working on that asap in any case. I think I'm gonna make a defense grid just in case (assuming I've unlocked it. Some say it's fantastic bit of fun and others find it a chore and still others find it stressful and dangerous. The assassin has full knowledge of our location, so I'm expecting an Avenger Assault any time now. That said, a covert op knocked it back once and the first facility assault knocked it back a second time, but that's twice it has been at full so I think the counter is down around 6 days. The next time I'm at full Avatar Project the counter will start where it left off last time, so you get less and less time to deal with it if you wait too long. The problem with that is the counter doesn't reset. I've been late dealing with the Avatar project, so I've had it counting down on me twice. I don't know if there are other sources, like missions or whatever. You also get more cards when you improve rank of influence with each faction. More resistance cards are definitely gained by covert ops.

Familiarity with interrupts in Cortex-M processors.Īll the code presented in this post in addition to instructions for the environment and toolchain setup are available on the apollolabsdev Nucleo-F401RE git repo.Note that if the code on the git repo is slightly different then it means that it was modified to enhance the code quality or accommodate any HAL/Rust updates. The UART Tx line that connects to the PC through the onboard USB bridge is via pin PA2 on the microcontroller. The second Microphone signal pin is connected to pin PA4 (Grove Connector A2).The first Microphone signal pin is connected to pin PA0 (Grove Connector A0).1 x Seeed Studio Grove Base Shield V2.0. This is a hardwired pin, meaning you cannot use any other for this setup. Unless you are using a different board other than the Nucleo-F401RE, you have to check the relevant documentation (reference manual or datasheet) to determine the number of the pin. There isn't much of an algorithm design for this application as most of the work is going to be handled by hardware through interrupts. In software, however, we will mainly be configuring the DMA and collecting and processing microphone samples once they become available. The state machine below expresses how the application works. The application will be sitting idle until a timer interrupt event happens at a rate of our choice (for example every one second). In the timer interrupt task, we will kick off an ADC sequence conversion that will go and collect ADC samples from all microphone channels. The application would then return to the idle state again and wait until a DMA event happens. The DMA event signals that the ADC data is available in memory to read. As such, in the "Transfer Complete" state the application would collect the available data, transmit it, and then return to idle.Īn alternative approach would have been to skip the timer interrupt kicking off the ADC conversion altogether and instead have the DMA interrupt collect data directly when it becomes available by the ADC. Instead, it adds an app only when the child launches it. It doesn't give you a full list of all the apps on a child's device right away. Qustodio: App managementĪs I had tested Qustodio previously, I was ready for its less-than-ideal app-management system. It would be a short-lived reprieve from the app even if a child managed to get past those security measures. Naturally, the parent app notifies you immediately that tampering has been detected. Uninstalling Qustodio from a child's device wasn't difficult, but on Android, it requires the parental password. You'll need to make sure the settings align with your preferences for your child. Qustodio prefills some of an individual child's settings, for example with web filtering, but it leaves most of the settings disabled by default. I was thrilled to find that Qustodio has massively overhauled its web portal, which now features a modern, intuitive design that matches the mobile apps. Once you have the child app installed and working, you can return to the Qustodio web portal or your parental app to customize the settings. If you want location tracking to work, be sure to go to the settings menu and toggle the location privilege to "always." The more recent versions of Android and iOS don't let you grant permanent location privileges to an app in the pop-up dialogue box. This is largely personal preference, but if you have two or more children, be aware that this is a one-at-a-time setup process. As I always set up two child accounts, I always find it a bit irritating that I need to loop back through everything again for the second child rather than setting up all the accounts and then moving to the download process. If you have only one child with one device, the setup process is excellent as it does a good job of guiding you and making the process quick and easy. You'll sign into your account on the child's device, and then the app walks you through the process of granting the necessary permissions including installing a profile that allows for the management of their device(s). Like a number of other parental-control services, Qustodio uses separate parent and child apps as kids tend to give their apps terrible ratings. You can either navigate to Qustodio's download page (opens in new tab) or simply download the "Kids App Qustodio" from the relevant app store. The next step is to add a device for the child. The avatars are a bit odd, and you can't upload a photo of your child. You just enter a name and then select a year of birth, a gender and an avatar from a set of six options. The app will then prompt you to create child profiles. The first step is to create your account. My preference is to set these services up through their websites when possible, but if you prefer to stick to your smartphone, the Qustodio apps for Android and iOS make that easy. Chrome OS support is a bit more limited, consisting of the Android app to manage time and a Chrome extension to limit browsing time and monitor activity. Each plan includes all the premium features and full support across Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, and Kindle Fire. Up to 5 devices can be covered for $54.95 a year, 10 devices for $96.95, and 15 devices for $137.95.ĭevice limits are the only differences between the paid plans. To unlock the full premium features, you can choose from one of three plans, depending on the number of devices you need to protect. Qustodio's pricing has remained pretty static in recent years, with a basic free tier that covers a single device with web filtering, web and social-media monitoring, time limits and an online monitoring dashboard.

On Sunday, AugChuck showed up at my house with a bobcat and a rock bucket and completely solved my rock problem. It is so very rare to encounter people like Chuck any more. I agreed and when he saw the rocks he said he would take care of the problem. Chuck expressed his concern and asked if he could come to my house and look at the rock pile. From that moment on my life just got a lot better. As I was discussing this with him I snarked that I didn’t need to add to my $3000 pile of rocks. No Thank You!At that point - around the first week of August, 2020 I contacted Chuck Moore as I was in need of about 10 more truckloads of fill dirt. One estimate was foe $2500 and the other was for nearly $3000. I then called two different places for estimates to remove the rocks. After spreading all that fill dirt, I also ended up with a pile of ricks that I couldn’t use. In all, I have received 60 truckloads of fill dirt. I spoke to Chuck Moore and have dealt with him on various projects over the past two years. This review concerns my use of Dirt Connections, 11325 Random Hills Rd #360, Fairfax, VA 22030.
